Are you showcasing your product?

During some client testing this last week we found something really interesting that we thought would be good to share with you.
It all stems from showcasing your product during the checkout process.
This particular client sells confectioner treats such as chocolates, candies, and others.  They also have a monthly membership tied to it.
While looking for friction points in the sign up process and things to test we noticed that they didn’t have images at all of product on the pricing page.  So we did what we do best and that is test it.
Right below the pricing table, in this case, a monthly, quarterly, and yearly billing plan, we added a simple image of some of the product (example below).  We tested multiple images to see if they held any weight when it came to conversions.

The result from this test was nothing short of amazing.
Just adding some “showcase” images of the product the conversion rates skyrocketed.

Over 100% increase in sales conversion from ONE simple image.
The results of this test led to us thinking of other ways we can showcase products throughout the site in different ways to increase conversions.
So far it has proven to be successful in all areas of the site.  PLUS we tested a similar philosophy with another client selling completely different products, this time tracking for revenue per visitor/customer.

In this case it improved revenue per customer over 66%.  Can’t complain about that one bit.
